Santa came early to retired residents in Seaford
Despite overcast weather, the smiles were very broad at Cheneys Care Home in Seaford. A Christmas Fair was organised by the ‘Friends of Cheneys’, a group of local volunteers, who give their time to support residents, especially those who have no friends or family nearby.
Santa was in his grotto with his elf helpers, and there were many busy stalls such as tombola, handicrafts and homemade cakes to name a few, and of course the ever popular seasonal raffle. The residents loved having all the extra visitors, with many friends and relatives surrounding them, the whole event had a wonderful atmosphere. Miss Beall, Chairman of the friends group, said “the £387 raised will be used towards more Christmas activities and gifts for the residents”.
