Sussex Housing & Care is fortunate enough to have five Friends Groups, who through their volunteering work, make a significant contribution to the organisation.
They provide invaluable support to those residents who have few family and friends nearby. This means that very memorable friendships are often developed between the visiting Friends and the residents who very much appreciate their visits.
Our Friends Groups:-
- Are local volunteers wishing to enhance the lives of older people in their community, particularly within Sussex Housing & Care's Residential Care Homes or Sheltered Housing schemes
- Represent and promote the interests of Sussex Housing & Care in our area and uphold our good name
- Provide support to residents and staff
- Help to organise activities, outings and fundraising events
- Are also available to visit and help residents where needed
- Are willing to introduce relevant community connections to the marketing and fundraising team – where appropriate.
If you would like to find out more about our friends groups, please contact Nina Crump on 01323 875254, email nina.crump@sussexhousing.org.uk, who will put you in touch with the group in your area.
