VE Day celebrations enjoyed in all care homes

Residents across our four care homes in Battle, Haywards Heath, Bexhill and Crowborough took part in some fantastic VE Day celebrations on Friday 8th May.

We pulled out all the stops to make this day, which is close to our hearts, a special one.

Residents enjoyed everything from war time singing and poetry to celebratory lunches and cream teas. Residents shared their war time stories and memorabilia and staff dressed up in 1940's styles.

Tom and Doreen who both live at Ardath care home in Bexhill shared their war time artefacts. Tom's included a ration book, Airmans paybook and a clothing book which everyone was very interested to see.

Thank you to everyone, staff and residents, who made this day such a success.
