Residents and staff raise £314 for Marie Curie Nurses

Residents and staff at Martlet Court sheltered housing scheme in Brighton held a successful table top sale and raffle which raised an amazing £314 for Marie Curie Nurses.

Gerard, Scheme Manager at Martlet Court said: “I decided to do a tabletop sale as after 11 years here, we have acquired a large number of items left by previous residents which I had stored in the loft. Now that we need the space, I thought people may like to give them a new home and we can support a charity close to our hearts at the same time.

We welcomed visitors from other local sheltered schemes here in Kemptown, as well as fellow scheme managers and residents. It was well supported and nice to see everyone visit us at Martlet Court in our communal lounge, thank you to everyone who joined us.”

The raffle prizes were kindly donated by residents and Sussex Housing & Care staff. Congratulations to everyone involved!
