Join us for national care home open week!
Next week, starting 27th June we are supporting National Care Home Open week, with an array of FREE activities for residents, families, visitors, the local community and community groups to enjoy. The mission of the week is to reconnect care home residents with their local community.
All of our events are free and we'll be serving our Chef's finest home made cakes and refreshements. We welcome you to book in advance, so just give us a ring or email, to let us know you're coming.
Monday 27th June - Woodlands care home, Crowborough, 11am to 12 noon and
Tuesday 28th June - Oakwood Court care home, Haywards Heath, 10.30am to 11.30am
A community masterpiece - We will be creating a community masterpiece by welcoming everyone to place a colourful handprint on our canvas. This symbolic art, which will be created during the events, will be a fantastic way of representing the connections between our residents, local people and community groups.
Tuesday 28th June - Woodlands care home, Crowborough, 11am to 12 noon
Live music - Come along for live musical entertainment with Rosie, accompanied with delcious cakes. Enjoy a sing along and even a dance if you fancy it!
Thursday 30th June - Saxonwood care home, Battle, 2.30pm to 5pm
Garden party and flower planting - Our garden party, games and friendship flower planting event welcomes people to visit and plant a flower in a new friendship garden and enjoy some fun garden games. The finished flowerbed will not only be a place to connect with others, but will share the valuable community relationships our not-for-profit care home is rekindling, to continue building a brighter life for our residents.
Friday 1 July - Oakwood Court care home, Haywards Heath, 4pm to 5pm
Afternoon tea - come and enjoy a scrumptious complimentary afternoon tea and listen to a popular live singer cover a mix of tunes from over the decades.
