We are delighted to announce the formal handover of the brand new extension at Oakwood Court care home in Haywards Heath, ready to welcome residents and visitors.
The project adds 27 bedrooms and a range of state of the art facilities including; a lounge, dining room, hair and beauty salon, activities room and landscaped gardens. The extension has been built over the past two years by Niblock Building Contractors, with Askival managing the project from feasibility through to completion, supported by Lawson Queay as Employers Agent.
Tracy Evans, Chief Executive, said: “We have invested £8 million to expand the provision of care at Oakwood Court and are excited to share these excellent care facilities with the community. Improving our homes, as well as providing additional affordable homes, is central to what we do as a not-for-profit housing and care provider.”
Amanda Hodge, Operations Director and project lead for Sussex Housing & Care, said: “This is a momentous day as we take over the new building and look forward to welcoming new residents to Oakwood Court. The doors to the new rooms will officially open on Tuesday 26 August, once the final furniture and furnishings are installed. The expansion is followed by wider improvements at Oakwood Court, with further refurbishment of the foyer, kitchen, and lounge already underway. The home remains fully operational and we look forward to welcoming the local community to visit the new facilities.”
