Join us and get arty for Arts in Care Homes Week 2023!
We’re excited for arts in care homes week next week! Across our three care homes in Battle, Crowborough and Haywards Heath we have a variety of free arty activities for you to enjoy with residents.
Art in Care Homes Week is a national event led by the National Activities Provider Association (NAPA) and is an opportunity to bring people together in care homes to have fun with art. There is lots of research that proves that access to the arts makes care home residents happier and healthier. We believe that residents should be offered a wide range of arts activities on a daily basis to enhance their quality of life and increase wellbeing and motivation.
All of our events are free and as usual, we will have our delicious complimentary cakes and refreshments.

Monday 18 September
Making memory bracelets
Make your own bracelet to collect your happy memories to carry a little happiness around your wrist wherever you go.

Flower arranging
Flower arranging art with Louise from The Joy of Flowers – local Battle florists.

A creative collage
Make a unique collage together using textural materials. This session is led by Sarah from The Painted Ladies. The final piece of art will be hung in the care home to remind residents of the wonderful connections they have with families, friends and the community.

Autumn heart wreaths
Make and decorate your own heart wreath to welcome the autumn months.
