5* Food Hygiene awarded to Woodlands care home
Every year we have a food hygiene inspection and yesterday we welcomed an Environmental Health Officer to Woodlands Care Home in Crowborough. We're chuffed to have been awarded another 5* food hygiene rating.
Chef Manager Robbie, who is responsible for our catering service said: "Overall I'm pleased with the outcome. This time last year I had been the Chef Manager for a matter of months before the inspection, so after a year it's great to know we're continuing with our best practice and excellent food hygiene standards with me at the helm!
Yesterday's visit was a particularly good experience for Charlotte, our new kitchen assistant, because she got to meet the inspector from Wealden District Council and see their attention to detail.
Having safe food preparation, storage, cooking and cleaning is important, our residents and families get peace of mind, knowing the food they enjoy is prepared well, and they aren't at risk of any contamination. We take pride in our service, it's a great accolade to have."
