A new found love for tapestry
Eileen was introduced to tapestry by her neighbour two months ago and has already created a beautiful butterfly and a robin.
Eileen, who will be 90 in February, said “I’d never done it before, but thought I can try that too!” Eileen’s daughter-in-law orders her tapestry kits online and helps her get them framed when they're complete.
Eileen also enjoys other crafts such as knitting, patchwork and sewing, as well as reading and crosswords. “It gives me a real purpose in life, keeps me going and helps me get up in the morning.”
Eileen’s next project is a tapestry of a house and garden with trees and flowers. We look forward to seeing the finished result Eileen!
