I enjoyed it here so much I decided to make it my home
Isabella is 88 years old and lives at Saxonwood care home in Battle. We spoke to her about why she chose to make Saxonwood her home.
“I first came in for respite care because I live with my daughter and she and her partner were going away.
To begin with, I was unhappy - I am a qualified nurse, so felt that I was on the wrong side of the care! But I’ve settled in well now - the people are friendly, there are night staff on if you want attention at night, the food is very good, I enjoy the activities and have good carers - there isn’t one that isn’t good, so I’m quite happy here.
Quite honestly I enjoyed it here so much that I decided to make it my home.
If you are thinking of coming to Saxonwood, it’s such a friendly place and we do have entertainment, everybody’s so helpful and nice. I would certainly say have a try here and see if you like it.”
