It was a blooming birthday view for June at Saxonwood Care Home in Battle as the planting took place on a new flowerbed yesterday!
The project involved clearing the existing flower bed and carefully selecting roses and lavender to create a colourful, fragrant display. The roses were chosen in honour of resident June's 100th birthday, and the newly planted bed has been positioned to give her a wonderful view from her window.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life, including staff who volunteered their time clearing the flowerbed. It's a fantastic example of how resident feedback and engagement inspires a community project and the team have loved creating this space for everyone to enjoy.
