Technology tutorial helps Mayfield residents stay in touch
Residents and visitors at St Thomas of Canterbury Court enjoyed learning more about how to use a smartphone and tablet during a Technology Tutorial held as part of our Older People's Day celebrations taking place during September and October.
There was a good turnout for the session, which was hosted by Scheme Manager, Caroline Thomas, and Engagement and Communications Officer, Carrie Hall. A number of residents came along with their own devices and were shown how to make a call or send a message, access the internet, log into social media and take photos using a smartphone or tablet.
Pauline, a resident at the scheme, said, "I never knew I wasn't logged into Facebook, now I can see all the messages my family are sending me."
Plans are now taking place to hold regular Technology Tutorials at the scheme.
