This week, we are proud to celebrate Carers Week 2026 and take a moment to recognise the incredible dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by our care teams in Oakwood Court in Haywards Heath, Saxonwood in Battle and Woodlands in Crowborough. Whether carers are supporting residents with personal care, offering reassurance in difficult moments, creating meaningful activities, or simply sharing a conversation and a smile, your impact is felt in countless ways. 

 

It is their kindness, patience and commitment that helps make our homes feel safe, welcoming and like a big family.

Care is not just a role – it is a responsibility that requires empathy, resilience and skill. We know that no two days are the same, and that the work they do can often be both challenging and demanding. Yet our care teams go above and beyond to ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect and warmth.

Carers Week is an opportunity for all of us to pause and say thank you. Thank you for the early mornings, the late nights and everything in between. Thank you for the relationships you build with residents and their families. Thank you for working together as strong, supportive teams who lift each other up and make a difference every day.

Our carers help residents to continue to live fulfilling, meaningful lives, and we are proud of the care they provide.
