We're supporting Plastic Free July

We're supporting the global 'Plastic Free July' movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution - so we can have cleaner streets, oceans and beautiful communities.
As part of our Sustainability strategy, we are committed to reducing our use of single use plastic and looking for more sustainable products.

We have many initiatives being taken forward, for example:

  • Staff are bringing in their reusable water bottles and not using single use cups at water dispensers (beautifully demonstrated by staff at Saxonwood care home in Battle!).
  •  We're using washable aprons, rather than plastic aprons, during mealtimes in our care homes.
  •  Catering food containers such as ice creams and mayonnaise are being recycled as storage containers.

JOIN US AND TAKE PART! We encourage you to shop local and buy unpackaged food, particularly meat, fish, cheese and vegetables - and don't forget to bring along your reusable shopping bag when you head to the shops!
