This role is to provide a responsive maintenance service in respect repairs, cleaning and grounds maintenance to Oakwood Court Care Home.

The role includes assisting the Maintenance Operative and Property Team maintaining the building and surrounding areas to a high standard. This includes painting, clearing blockages, ensuring clear and safe access to the building, understanding the heating and electrical plant and making adjustments where necessary, reporting defects to the Maintenance Operative, maintaining appropriate records and undertaking minor repairs. Assisting with regular Health and Safety checks to the building and grounds.

Candidate Requirements

Full training will be given but, some knowledge of general building maintenance and knowledge of basic Health and Safety would be beneficial.

You will need to be empathetic and have a considerate nature. Working previously in an older persons housing and care setting isn’t essential but would be advantageous, however full training will be given. 

Having a current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes, while helpful is not essential.

  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week
  • Pay: £11,466.00 Annually
